Help Support :

6 hours up - then 6 hours back.....

Have a safe trip Paul and best of luck with everything!

MAKE SURE you take some coffee or a couple bottles of that "5 hour energy" stuff.   It really helped me keep my eyes open on those looooong drives I've made!

Well, it was just such a lovely day today (and a wicked storm due tomorrow) so I thought it would be a nice day for a drive. I hopped into the station wagon and headed north to Lac St-Jean.

And after the visit, I stopped to have my lunch by lake. It was cold and windy though.

What? Oh yes, there IS something in the back of the station wagon isn't there?

It seems to be in great condition!

The 'story' behind it: The person who listed this on kijiji was doing so because his parent's house had been sold. He was born in '61 and said he does not remember having seen any other laundry equipment in the house! Sad news - there WAS a matching dryer, but it had been discarded about 15 years ago when the seller's mother passed away... Sigh!
The washer has not been used since, but it was apparently still working when it was de-comissioned.

Timer dial and panel look interesting. I am hoping it lights up, but I will have to check that tomorrow.

The timer dial can be manually advanced - keeping my fingers crossed that the motor is still alive!

Right, that's it for me tonight.. I'll do some real testing tomorrow and I'll be posting more photos and hopefully good news over the course of the weekend.

As for me, after the 12-hour return trip I am about to turn into a pumpkin... LOL

Wow it's cool to see a totally new machine you haven't seen before. Congrats on this rare washer, gl getting it up and running.

''Dominion nous fait bien manger''

Paul,

You might remember that slogan from old adverts of the long forgotten Dominion food market chain, 1960's-70's. Completely unrelated to your Dominion washing machine, but I couldn't omit the mention of this bit of childhood memory...

As for your incredible find, one word: Wow!

I like the look of that machine: awesome retro look with those buttons, as well as the unique design of the 'push to start' round knob. The inside of the tub, the pink and white finish colors, and the control panel... Sigh! A great collectors piece. Never seen one like this before. Wish you have a great fun with that lady!
