What was the #1 song on the day you were born?

"Don't Stand So Close To Me" by Police was No. 1 in the UK charts at the time. Have never heard of it, but then I'm not a Police fan.

Could be worse though... had I been born a week earlier, the current No. 1 would have been the trashy "Feels Like I'm In Love" by Kelly Marie. I dislike that song intensely, and cringe every time it plays on the radio.

Lawrence---Alley Oop was my favorite record when I was a very little kid. My sister said I played it constantly until my Mom, who'd had enough, eventually hid it from me. When I turned 40, my sister gave me an Alley Oop lunch box with the 45 inside it.

my mom used to sing "Bushel and a Peck" to us when I was a little boy (It's true...I was one at one time!)

Doodle oodle do...

My day , 09/09/57 had Paul Anka's "Diana"... not bad, not bad at all. Very appropriate - he was and still is incredibly popular in Brooklyn
