I still remember my first glimpse of my mom's Kenmore 800. It was the light in the console that caught my eye. Then when I got older and able to stand and walk the next big thrill was to be able to open the lid and watch it watch. How wonderful were those machines to let you watch without having the jam your finger into the lid switch. It had a mercury switch so I could lift the lid about 1/4 of the way and still get to hear and watch the Kenmore 525 spin with those cool spray rinses.

I remember my first roller coaster. It was the Zephyr Jr. at Pontchartrain Beach in New Orleans. My mom took me on it and she was terrified. I was addicted like crack. Since then I've ridden lots of coasters around the country.

My first record player was a cheesy Kenner Close'n'play. Simple, stick a record on the turntable and close the lid. Music comes out. Not exactly hi-fi but music came out.

My first experience with a jukebox was at the local bowling alley. My dad bowled in a league so me and mom would go play the jukebox together. I vividly remember playing "50 ways to leave your lover" by Paul Simon and "Convoy" by CW McCall. It was an older machine because it had the letter-number selections. Perhaps it was a Rock-Ola but I can't remember. I do remember dancing like an idiot at Shakey's Pizza in front of a Seeburg Celestia at my 8th Birthday party. Hey it was 1978 and I pumped a dollar's worth of disco music into the box.
