Who'd a thunk...

that one of Whirlpool's biggest building blocks, The Nineteen Hundred Corp. was based right here in good old Binghamton NY.

IBM also started here, and Endicott-Johnson, the world's largest shoe company, was also here... E-J is now gone, and IBM is down from 15,000 to 800 souls.
Sad.
