Okay.....

There a several of these "Whirlpool Duet Washer Review" videos coming  from these ditsy young women.

They all seem to have the same washer with the pedestals, and also the tops for the washer and dryer that you can get from Whirlpool.

I kept thinking that this was some kind of audition to get a free washer dryer set if you can upload videos to Youtube that Whirlpool was promoting.

This video really makes me wonder!  She really "works them".   I am also wondering if this is promoted for house wives....or husbands.  Seems like a 1950's live ad campaign!

I truly hope I am wrong.....

Demo Gimick

I think this was a field demo program that Whirlpool did to generate buzz. Seems all these women are affiliated with some highly followed blog of some sort. Unfortunately, most of these posters know very little about the product and possibly less about the art of doing laundry.

My model has the same features.  She is demonstrating either the WFW98 or the same model as mine WFW97.  Was also wondering if she wasn't more prone to demonstrating her cleavage rather than the washer.  Glad mine isn't nearly as big, but I bet mine's a lot furrier.

I actually do like the way these new duets perform. I have the updated model with the newer knob styles. These things do make some cool sounds!

Your guys are Horn Dogs!  LOL!

When I said she really "works them"  I was not talking about the W/D.

I actually laughed at the beginning for 15 minutes last night.  I wondered if she practiced!

I don't think this is a normal house person using a washer. I mean why is Affresh or whatever it is shown on the the washer while she is talking. I think this is a marketing hype type of thing and I don't like it because it is made as if it is a regular person is talking about her washer. You can even hear a kid in the background. What does she mean that you don't' sort by color but by load size and then says color is still important. In other words they want to get the point across that the machine will determine the load size.....business commercial SCORE.....real consumer ..... FAIL.

The washer may indeed be good, but after seeing this video I would not be inclined to buy it based on this video that looks like a sales trick to me. I might by it after a real consumer used it and posted a video or someone from this site did a video and talked about the washer.....but this is not that.

Greg that is a great looking washer!

Have you opened up the bottom of the dryer? I was wondering if it was filled with lint? I have to clean my 27" every year due to the lint under the dryer.

What cycle are you running in the picture? I could not tell. Can't make out what your cycle lights say. Near the top is lit and the bottom is lit. Is it the secret clean cycle?

I think you are going to really like this set a lot. I love the color. My other favorite color at this time was the burnt orange. Not sure what they called it back when it was out.

Just started on the dryer late last night, as expected, it was packed in tight with lint. Obviously a bad vent as both the washer and dryer were pretty clean overall. The pump tray had a dime, a penny and a small unicorn sticker and nothing else. No goo or bio-hazard build up at all. There was some evidence of oversudsing dribble from the washer vent on the back and down the cabinet, but not much.

I used the long soak cycle (35 min) and added more hot water with a hose up to the glass. I used two affresh tablets, then ran a double Skin Care rinse & spin. Fresh as a daisy now, but it wasn't stinky or moldy to begin with. I'll probably run another rinse routine with a cup of bleach before washing in, mostly for psychological reassurance :-)
