Apparently, on Whirlpool’s newest washers, every part that’s in it is different and no vender sells them, all say the part has been discontinued, and many of the new model numbers, no result shows up. I wouldn’t recommend Whirlpool anymore, everything they make now is junk. Not only is Whirlpool pricing parts through the roof, but they are also making them NOT available for newest units.
I looked at stuff for the newest VMWs with the bigger drum, and everything was different, the gearcase, drain pump, you name it. The only same parts in those relative were the splutch and motor, but everything else was different, and the new part numbers for the gearcase, suspension rods, and drain pump were NLA.
Instead of Whirlpool fixing the control board issue on the six light models (which has been a major issue with those since 2023), revising the model numbers, and using a different brand transducer, they decided it was better for them to stop making them altogether and make models with NO available parts, everything on the newest designs are NLA, meaning if any part wears out pretty much, you have to buy a new one. The Amana NTW4516FW is discontinued, I think the WTW4955HW, WTW4950HW, WTW4850HW, and WTW4855HW is also being discontinued. I think the WTW4957PW and NTW4519JW will be discontinued soon.
Well, I hope parts will be available for those in the future.
And I’d recommend if someone still wants Whirlpool, they get one of the older model numbers still in production (e.g. MVW7232HW), or other models where it’s easy to find parts.
Models like the WTW4100SW have NO parts available, so if it’s defective you have to dispose of it, and Whirlpool doesn’t seem to carry parts for it either.
Some of these models have been out since early 2025, and parts are still not available. I think Whirlpool just wants people to keep buying washers so they can make money, instead of replace a part.
It’s even easier to find parts for Insignia washers now than the latest Whirlpools.
