That is not the part number to be looking for
Control Magnets/wig-wags were sold two ways for the last couple decades, with and without plungers and pins.
The basic control magnet is part number 84867. The kit with 84867 and a pair of plungers and pins is part number 89814.
I have seen both of these on eBay and they should be fairly easy to locate.

Maybe if you do a video to show what's happening, it would help. I recently got two Whirlpool washers with pump issues. Both machines have a brush-type lint filter rather than the self-cleaning one. On one pump, the valve that's actuated by the wig wag assembly was stuck and on the other one, the lower impeller was broken so it emptied the tub very slowly and the recirculation (for the lint filter) didn't work.
Thanks Phil. Nothing to show really. You can hear the pump working but the water stays in the machine. The tech had previously fixed the pump and said that wasn't the problem and said that the wig-wag (transmission assembly?) that opened the valve was stuck or broken and that the part 357972 was un available. Thanks for the help everyone but we are still stuck, just like the machine.
The flapper valve in the pump operates by mechanical linkage from the agitate shift bar. The shift bar moves the flapper, the wigwag does not operate it directly. If the machine shifts into and out of agitation and spin then the wigwag should be OK and the problem likely is either the pump flapper arm is not engaged into the agitate bar or the flapper mechanism is broken on the pump.

I'd still suggest that you remove the small rear access cover and make a small video of what happens!

In this case, the pump impeller was stuck and so was the flapper mechanism. The pump pulley that didn't turn caused the belt to slip and move slowly. The wig wag was fine but instead of moving the flapper valve, it just bent the shaft that was stuck. That happened as my machine wasn't used for years and I guess the exact same situation is unlikely to happen in a machine that's been used regularly but making a video of what's happening around the wig wag would help to diagnose the problem. Just be careful not to get too close to anything that moves or electrical connectors while doing that!
