Whirlpool VMW washer clicking during agitation

I think I figured out what the issue was!

The clicking noise came back with a vengeance in a mixed load I was doing this morning. Once again, cycle was heavy duty, auto sense fill. However, I tried to just ignore it -- as John stated above, these washers do make quirky noises sometimes.

When I pulled the clothes from the washer after the cycle was done, I noticed the tub was leaning more forward than it should. The washer seemed stable, but I raised the front feet a bit anyway, and that seemed to balance the tub back out.

Started another load, this time towels so it was actually heavier than the previous load. And low and behold, no more clicking whatsoever!

Could my washer have just been slightly unlevel this whole time and that's what was causing that sound? The spin cycle has always been a bit shaky but nothing terrible so I never worried about it. However, that seemed better too. I would never have thought that such a minor imperfection in leveling would make such a difference or that the clicking sound during agitation would have had anything to do with it at all. It's not like the tub was hitting the cabinet -- it sounded more like components clicking. Maybe there was too much strain on that side especially when clothes would circulate that direction, and a component was straining? The reason I say that is because the clicking would come and go during a cycle.

I'll have to keep an eye on it, but I really do think I may have fixed the problem, and it was such a simple solution if so.
