As of right now the drive hub just stripped out on my 2019 Whirlpool WTW5000DW3 washer. Washplate moves independently from the drum. When it tries to spin it makes a weird noise and clothes come out soaked.
The drive hubs aren’t too expensive but the bearings are also shot on my machine as it made a very loud roaring noise on the spin cycle before the hub stripped, and the only way to solve the bearing issue is to change the transmission. Despite the bearing being bad it’s not leaking.
As an experienced repair technician, I work on VMWs almost every day. I work at an appliance repair shop.
