And the majority will do just that and complain that the washer sucks and damages their clothes.

Load&And go-sounds like that could clog from infrequent usage.6.1 CuFt-yes-load that dump truck full of clothes-your WP washer will take it!The controls in the cover is a worry-how much flexing of the control cables as the lid is opended and closed?Will have to wait on this one.And on these thought you had to load the machine by placing the clothes against the side of the tank away from the center of the agitator impeller-they show folks just dumping them in!

They should be putting energy into their front loaders. At least those really clean.
How on earth could a little impeller really turn over that gigantic load?

I guess the flexing cable should be much of an issue - it's the same principle found on dishwashers.

Are these new washers;

Splutch driven belt, or hall sensor rotor/stator direct driven?

It's a hybrid of the VMW belt/splutch and the Oasis/Fisher&Paykel SmartDrive. It's a BPM rotor/stator drive, but mounted onto the gearbox of the VMW. This is why the tub rotates against the wash plate, rather than just floating back and forth like the Oasis, but I suppose it also alleviates the issues that could arise with the floating wash basket system, and provides gear reduction to reduce stress directly against the rotor and stator. It uses a solenoid to lock the tub and wash plate together for rotation and spin.
