Who makes these dishwashers?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

These machines are sold by GE here in the states and were also sold as Whirlpool so as to offer an ADA (Americans with Disabilites Act) compliant machine. Because of their smaller size (height) they fit under lowered counters. There are many of these installed in new office buildings, etc. that must comply with the ADA regulations.

There is one (GE) in a building that we do that is a source of constant complaints for it's washing ability, capacity and all-around cheap quality construction. The owner mentioned it once and hadn't realized that it was specified by the architect for it's ADA Compliance but then recalled that the GE slide-in range had to be custom fitted in the lower height counters and lower panel parts had to be ordered to make it fit.

Hobbled by extremely hard water, the dishwasher looks like it's 20 years old when you open it, covered in white film and scale. But that's not the machine's fault.

For parts sourcing resources, Alibaba.com is an interesting site to poke around, you'll find many of the parts used in dishwashers all over the globe and and see the company and factory of origin. Nearly all manufacturers source parts from China and other Asian countries. The link is to dishwasher pumps but you can search for anything related to kitchen and laundry appliances and get a feel for how "global" most machines really are.
