ok....i have a maytag dryer model DE606 and up untill last week it will not come on ...the bell still rings and everything has power i have checked everything!! so is it my switch or not....have imissed something this is my gret grandmothers and want to keep it!!! someone help me with what is wrong have i missed something? everything has power but the switch

It could be a connection to the switch or the switch itself. If everything is connected correctly at the switch and there's still no start, then I would look for a new switch. Also, make sure that the safety switch on the door isn't stuck or broken. If it's not making contact when the door is shut, that will also cause it not to start. I hope this helps.

Do you have an ohmmeter? Test the switch and see if it opens and closes. You can always try taking the switch out of the circuit. Is it just a two wire switch? If so, twist them together and make sure they are have some electrical tape around them so they don't short out or anything. If it fires up, well you know what the problem is.
