Pank Maytag...

Concetta dear,

I've chatted with many of the attendees and the glowing compliments from your happy revelers are endless. It's clear that a grand time was had by all--no surprise to me.

Alicia

P.S. I have one small request. Would you please take a picture of your pank Maytag with the lid closed. It's stunning. And, it appears to be a 700. Am I correct?

I found this set on eBay, which appears to be the same series you have. Perhaps you can get the matching dryer for a mere $2,000.

Mike I sure will get a picture of it with the lid closed. Mine is a Highlander model. I believe the ones in the ad have a lighted console which mine doesn't have.

Fun times had by all!

This weekend was one of the most memorable ones I've had in a long time.

It was absolutely fantastic seeing everyone! I loved hanging out in the ever-bustling kitchen. I loved even more-eating the food that came out of said kitchen.

The vacuums were fabulous; Terry- your collection is gorgeous! Everything was so mint... and ran so well!
Your home is beautiful! I'm thrilled to pieces that I was able to finally see it! I think we broke it in just right!

It was great meeting people I hadn't ever met before! I thoroughly enjoyed when we worked on little vacuum projects! And I loved watching that beautiful pink Maytag wash away!

We'll definitely have to do this again! You up for another round, Terry??

I've got three pages of pictures up... here's a link to the first one.

They're all titled *Ruckus in Ruskin* (Parts 1, 2, and 3)
Be sure to check them all out!

Til next time...

~Fred

Boy do I love looking at everyone's pictures and Fred once again great job, I absolutely love all of your captions.

I loved that Rainbow Humidifier, it was super cool how it splashed all over the inside of clear bowl. I was trying to figure out a way to put a small dish rack and tiny dishes in there and make a toy dishwasher out of it!

I can't believe the weekend is over now, I had so much fun with everyone. It was so great seeing everyone again and meeting some new people as well.

Terry it goes without saying that you are the kindest and gentlest soul in the entire would, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your friendship. You are well loved by so many of us. Thank you again for hosting this wonderful get away for all of us.

Terry gained a few pounds????!!!

You guys look like you are having so much fun!
Glad that everyone made it home safe, and had a chance to thaw out while in Florida!
Terry don't worry about the weight gain! You still look Fabulous! If you get fat like me, you have the sweet personality to make up for it!
Thanks for the pictures everyone!
Brent

Aw!

What a great group of folks, and it looks like you had so much fun! I wish I could have been there!!!

Terry, we'll just have to get you a Dishmaster to help that GE along. Either that, or we can get you one of those Tappan "quiet" machines with the revolving cylinder, and then you'll have retro glam, and no noticeable change in performance! :-D

I know what you mean about those damned no-leak hoses...I've been foiled by those before too.

That might be fun Nate, I must say in defense of the GE that when you use the pot and pan cycleand added heat it did a fair job. Still found a couple pieces of silverware that weren't clean but that is an improvement. Of course after three hours one would hope for something.LOL At any rate it will be just fine for most of my needs. As long as you put dishes in there that are reasonably clean it does ok in about 90 min.

I had so damn much fun in Florida, I'm really glad I acquiesced and decided to come ahead! It was so awesome to meet people and reconnect with people, some of whom I had not seen in some time. I'm writing emails to people here and there, but know you're in my thoughts and please do keep in touch! For those I don't know that well I hope we will continue becoming better friends.

Great Pictures Fred!!

You did a great job catching all of the excitement Fred!
Thanks for posting your pictures so we could all feel like we were there.
Did you guy's not take play with Terry's Westinghouse Spacemates that he had since new? I know he babied them, and were his pride and joy. Surely he still has this set. Just curious since I did not see pictures of them.
Brent

Brent, the space mates finally met their maker so to speak. About three months before I move to Florida the washer pump froze up and I didn't get it repaired. I offered the set here but no one was interested so they ended up going to the crusher. I had 21 years of great service out of them so I have no complaints.

Terry,
That is sad. I must have missed that thread when you were offering them.
Did you end up getting another front load pair?
Brent

For sure Brent, I got the Sears HE4T set and really love them. That along with my pank 1963 Maytag Highlander seems to get the job done.

Fred S, Terry, Michael and Jeff

Terry,

Your Highlander is very similar to the the 700 model my grandmother had. Her washer was white though and had the lighted controls. (Just wish I had had the presence of mind to have taken it when she passed. I'm sure I'll find one in MINT condition when the time is right.)

Fred S.,

Thank you for the glam shot. I LOVE that pank Maytag. And, thank you for sharing your fabulous photo journal. You do a wonderful job of documenting all these events.

Jeff and Michael,

I was just rereading this thread and realized that I overlooked thanking the two of you for starting this fantastic thread and posting all these wonderful photos. (I think I thanked you for your thread on our sister site. If not, thank you, thank you, thank you.)

Mike

Good for you Terry!
I have had my HE3T set for quite awhile now. (close to 7 years)
They have been great, and still clean anything!
Brent

Brent, do you use the high temp wash cycle, (sanitary cycle) on mine. I just love it. My whites have never been as bright!!

Terry,
I love the Sanitary cycle! I use it about 2 times a month for certain towels, and also for whites. I agree, it does do a great job!
What beautiful color did you get? I would guess you either got the blue, or champagne color...
Brent

Brent I got the Graphite. I sure wish that Whirlpool would have had the new beautiful green out when I bought as I think they are so neat.
