Winter reruns

Well,
I have not restored any machines since last summer,so I have nothing new to share. Will post a few old photos of my stuff,then others can follow. Perhaps that will help the "cabin fever" of January.

1965 Kenmores,all done and still in the garage. Summer 2003

1943 Monitor Tabletop...my VERY FIRST vintage machine and impeller washer I bought when I was 15 right before I joined Applianceville, and the machine that started my descent into washer "geekdom". Previously I only had vacuums and while I wanted one in the worst way, I never thought I'd have an automatic, so I started out small with this "mini-washer". Yes, I still have it!

Taken in February 2004--almost 2 years ago! Can't believe it as it still seems like I put in the winning bid yesterday!

Here's one some of y'all will remember: Glenn (DADoES) and I cleaning up his recently found (at the time) Frigidaire WO-65 Unimatic!! While my ugly mug is unchanged, my hair's gotten a little longer...

Last one, for now!

My 1978 Frigidaire 1-18 taken May 2005, one month after I picked it up and started on it. I was finished with the mechanical work and it was ready to wash, but it wasn't anywhere near perfect cosmetically. This Fall it received a nice "makeover"...current pictures of this machine are in my album.

Here's how it looks now, with new control panel thanks to Greg M. and added window lid!

That 1-18 turned out just great! The control panel is one thing that has to be perfect for me! And the window lids are always the "icing on the cake" for any machine front,or top loader!

austin-- I'm completely jealous of your restored 1-18. It's a beauty---and the moon roof in the lid is very cool. The 1-18 really proved that Frigidaire was going to play second fiddle to no one in the capacity dept!

Thanks for the post, Rick, I read that yesterday was the most depressing day of the year. Seasonal depression and all that, so maybe that's why the posts on the other forums.

This spring I'm getting at least one of my washers working. It's great to see the progress others are making.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone...Now the general idea was for us to post some photos of the machines ALREADY in our collections. So far Austin,Peter,and I were the only ones that have. Some have only one or two vintage machines,then others have TONS!! Where are they?
