Is there any reason this pair should not be considered for "daily driver duty"? Love the black and the analog controls and the dryer is gas - just perfect. However they are still Whirlpool/KM DD models that are now 5 years old.

Advice? Comments?

Go for it these are great machines. Pretty much the top of Whirlpool's lineup at that time.
