Wisk Detergent Review On Yahoo

I was reading a story just yesterday on Yahoo on how Wisk's version of their "Free and Clear" did a comparable if not better job than Tide Vivid.

I tried to find a link to it but wasn't able to. Did anyone else read it?

I had a Wisk coupon, and the Wisk Free & Pure was on sale at ShopRite, so I picked up a bottle over the weekend. I have a lot of other detergents to get through before I try it.

Per the Yahoo report on CU's findings, it sounds like many of us may not find it on store shelves until next year.

 

I'm a powder guy but would be willing to try this Wisk "Free & Clear" as an alternative to Tide HE liquid which is far too sudsy for a front-loader, although I won't go out of my way to find some.  Partner Dave prefers liquid, so we stock both types.

Yes Ma'am. That would be it. I bought a bottle of the regular Wisk a few weeks ago and will be doing laundry tomorrow. Let's see how it does.

I bought a bottle a few months back. It does a good job, however, if you are concerned about froth (suds) with Tide, beware of Wisk. It is a very sudsy detergent.

The last bottle of Wisk HE I purchased made for an extremely sudsy wash, and our water is rather hard.

Spotted

Stopped into local supermarket to pickup some orange juice and whilst going down the detergent aisle spotted Wisk "Free & Clear" "HE" liquid detergent that CR rated so highly.

As one literally has laundry products coming out of the woodwork knew when one was better off and kept going.

I wonder how they test these HE liquids and find them satisfactory. Do they wash in cold water? They certainly must not wash towels in these products or they would see what happens during the spin periods.

I found a bottle of Wisk Free and Clear at Stop and Shop here and have been using it. It does ok and does suds up alittle during the wash cycle and yet it rinses clear by the 3rd rinse. It cleans quite well, but not as well as Tide w/Bleach powder and Persil. I too have quite the stash of detergent and could go for a year or more without buying detergent. I have been using that Tide HE powder with the Actilift crystals. The scent has changed on this new Tide and it does clean well.

I've used this Wisk too. I thought it was fine at cleaning. It's too sudsy for our soft water. Went back to Persil and Shaklee, prefer powders anyway. Might try the neeTide HE acti lift then.

Tried Wisk "HE" When It First Came Out

Found it very frothy and not easily rinsed from fabrics. Have that stash of original Wisk liquid packets and the above goes double.

Suppose if one played around with the dosage and such might get it to work. The older Wisk has a nice vintage detergent scent.
