I just picked up a bottle of Wisk HE liquid yesterday. We've been using Tide 2X and my partner is going to complain that I switched, but I find the 2X leaves a Tide smell on the clothes even when using just a small amount of it. I like the fact that my Duet washer rinses so well and that things don't smell like soap but this Tide 2X is really a challenge for it.

Does anyone have experiences with Wisk HE that they can share?

Thanks,

Ralph

Yes, it's really good. It is less sudsy than Tide HE liquid.

It does have a fairly strong fragrance out of the bottle (which I'm not crazy about) but it does not linger on the clothing after you dry them.

Maybe this will be a good product for you. It tends to be cheaper than Tide HE liquid, as well.

I got some of this whilst on holiday in the US recently (along with some All Small & Mighty HE) and I was amazed at the fact that this rinses out better than UK Persil Small & Mighty and actually produces a lot less suds. Strange because UK detergents are HE by default, and yet the US version seems to perform better than our own version!

Hi Ralph. I'm nearly through a bottle of Wisk HE, and I've been really pleased with it. It's much less sudsy than Tide HE 2x in my soft water. On small loads I find I have to use a very small amount or else I do get some suds, but otherwise it's less expensive than the Tide and I think it smells better, too.

Thanks guys,

I wasn't too thrilled with the scent (I liked the smell of good old fashioned Wisk when it was the only liquid on the market) but am going under the assumption that it will get rinsed out.

There's still a couple of loads worth of Tide 2X left. I'll let my partner use that if he wants, as I'm anxious to try the Wisk. It was over $2 cheaper than the same size of Tide HE.

"WiskHE and PublixHE are the same except the scent..."

Actually, I think the same might be true of the "Stop and Shop" HE liquid....

3X?

Geez, how much 3X do you use in a FL? Less than a teaspoon? Pretty soon HE detergent is going to be sold in small containers with eye droppers I guess!

I'm hoping to try the Wisk HE tonight if my partner doesn't beat me to the latest load of laundry and use the last of the Tide 2X. Looking forward to seeing how it performs with regard to sudsing and rinsing out the scent.

Wisk HE 2X

I actually had purchased a bottle of this yesterday at Safeway and tried it last night on some towels and tableclothes. It worked very well. The frangrance from the Wisk after the cycle wasn't detectable, only the softener. Sudsing was low and it seemed to rinse very nicely. I am not sure about this, but it seems to me at least, that they have reduced the potency of the fragrance of this product. I remember the last time I had a bottle of Wisk HE that I could not stand to smell it. Now it does not seem so bad. Anyways, I hope this info. helps you.

My partner is furious that I didn't buy Tide again. His logic is skewed and I can't change his mind. So I guess he'll go out and pay too much for some Tide 2X and I'll be using up the Wisk myself when I'm the one processing the laundry. Geez, since when is Wisk, a name brand, so bad? It's not like I bought Brand X!
