I like it, reminds me of one of the renditions of my parents den when I was growing up.

Dusting all those spindles on the furniture,vacuuming the grasscloth walls and combing the fringe on that rug will drive you to drink heavily. Other than that, it's lovely...

As Joan Crawford would say, "No more spindles, EVER!." Guess that's why they make the new Swiffer dusters.
I do like the avocado and harvest though. I can picture myself sitting in one of those velvet chairs (in my shirtwaist dress, of course)with a cup of coffeemaster coffee discussing your latest estate sale finds!

Hi everyone, I will post pictures of the kitchen when its completed, hopefully in a few weeks. As for the living room picture I WAS JUST KIDDING! We're not redoing the living room, we like the living room in orange and turquoise just the way it is! I found this picture and it was so over the top I just had to share it with the club.

I was going to say, the only thing wrong with the room was the bifold doors, they should have had spindles on the upper portion to be era correct.

OH MY GOD; You guys are laughing about the picture Robert posted, but I grew up with a den that looked almost exactly like that, except there was gold shag carpeting instead of an area rug. GULP! We even had felt-textured wallpaper on one wall of our living room.... It's almost as embarrassingly bad as looking at pictures of myself from high school ('74-'77)!
