Hey all!!

Just thought I'd share the good news with you - as of today we got a 9 month old black labrador cross collie! He's called Taz - he was a puppy from a rescue centre, the previous owners didn't want him because he was too lively!! How mean is that?? Anyhoos, we went to get him today and by gum he is the most gorgeous thing ever! Will post pics when I get access to my brothers digital camera (my mother very kindly left mine down at my auntie's in London :-/).

Awww! A lab-collie mix sounds interesting. My mom has a Lhasa-poo (half Lhasa apso, half poodle), which was very cute until it went to the groomer and got all its fur shorn off.

Hi Jon -

Congratulations! You must be thrilled to bits, there's nothing quite as exciting as welcoming a new pet into the home. Of course, I use the term "pet" loosely; dogs give their love and affection so willingly, and very quickly become members of the family.

Cherish every moment you share with Taz, and never forget to show him how much you all love him. Take him for walkies, make a fuss of him when he greets you at the door, and put a present under the tree for him at Christmas. These little efforts go a long way, and will be rewarded tenfold.

Can't wait to see the pics, he sounds like a right little corker ).
