Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

Gansky-- we had a roto-rack LK in the '70s. It was noisy, but I loved that spinning top rack. No rust on yours, either! Ours rusted away. I replaced it with a KitchenAid like the one shown in GadgetGary's post above. We also had a set of those colorful tumblers with the white rims. That's a very colorful (and sensibly full) load of dishes.

Thanks for the pics, guys!

Yay Greg!
What fun!
I bet your house sounded great with all of your dishwashers running at once!
I just love that Maytag with the Rapid Advance timer! Not to mention the color that you picked out for it.
Too Cool!
I don't care if Bob approves or not!
I do! Approve.
Thanks for the pictures!

Cool Maytag!

That's a beauty Greg! Love that shade of blue, and those pushbuttons. Very severe and mod. I miss my old KA dishwasher with the "daily mode" and "party mode" (or something like that)

the other Bob...

I certainly approve of your color choices, and love the mixmaster bowl-a-rama too.

Hey man, THANKS for the sunburst yellow info. Never heard of that!~ It's great!

And, say,...is that a pink
Boonton serving platter on the left? I've not see that piece before...

Groovy.

Bob

Greg: What a beauty that blue Maytag is! I have one in black that I can have from my neighbor, but it is more a BOL with the dial and only three buttons. Still a nice machine.

Corning Centura

I have been snatching up Corning Centura stuff for a long time, I must have service for 80 (it's a sickness) in white and the blue cornflower pattern...

Bob, the Boonton came from a sale - and there's more of it in the GE Mobile Maid! That is a platter, most of it is pretty nice but it has been loved so isn't "mint" anymore. I love the colors though!

Trivia

Hey, gansky1, I grew up with those plastic tumblers in the top rack! My mom got them on that kitchen aisle at the grocery store, where we got most of our dishes and kitchen things. But we only had the green, yellow and orange-ish ones.

OMG Gary

We have the same Gold-leaf dishes LOL

These dishes came from my parent's house. I took them when the house was sold. In the past few years, I have added many pieces to the set by finding them at Tag Sales and have recently found more pieces at my local Salvation Army store. Those dishes are my 'daily driver' and I really love them since they bring back so many childhood memories.

The dish pattern is called 'Serenade' and is made by Sheffield.
I have included a picture of a very unusual piece to the set.

And also a link to replacements....a company where you can find matching pieces to numerous sets of dishes.
