A Kenmore alphabet washer. We had one that we bought at a used appliance store and it was the greatest damned machine..had the gold Roto-Swirl agitator..was missing the fabric softener dispenser...but Mom found one in a box of stuff she bought at an auction. We tried it on the machine..voila!! perfect fit. Mom paid 75 bucks for it and got 11 YEARS out of it before it finally died....Im gonna be getting a house soon and dont really care for the newer washers and dryers..they just dont do the job as well as the old reliables. If they made a dryer to match that washer, I would snap that baby up too.

The Houston area should have good a chance to find one as anywhere. Ought to be plenty resale and swap-shops to 'scope-out over there.

There used to be a couple of used apppliance places in Spring Branch, but it's been 20 years since I left.
