Yet another... "How to load a Dishwasher" Video

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I beg to differ with the crazy woman.  Personally, I put cereal bowls in the bottom rack because those take up so much valuable real estate in the top rack.  I seem to always run out of space up top for mugs, glasses, and disposable plasticware.  I don't generally use my flatware separators.  Too restrictive and time consuming to load.  Don't see any difference in cleaning.  Why can't she put dinner plates upright vertically rather than just leaning them in, unless they're too big and stop the upper rack spray arm rotation.  When I've had to deal with those oddly shaped, way too large cereal bowls, they go in the bottom rack along the sides and inbetween the rows of tines just like shown,.  But "hello!!", have them face toward the center.  No wonder they won't get clean!!  Maybe someone needs to do a video of Bob "BobLoading" correctly, even a modern dishwasher, whenever we're all together and I can do a clinic.  The professors demonstrating this BobLoad clinic should be me, Nate, Eddie, Greg, and Paul.  "Git out dem grungy, encrusted casseroles, pots, pans, and prep bowls boys!!!"

This woman is crazy.  That load in the video is one that is waiting for more dishes to be added.  I always pack my DW AND the bottom rack gets bowls and any that are left over go in the top.  The bottom rack of my DW holds the bowls just as she advises to do in the top.

What DW holds plates at a crazy angle like that?  I've never seen this. My bottom rack holds plates upright and bowls at a slanted angle.  My bottom rack holds wine glasses too.

In this day and age I can't understand why a training video is being made of loading a DW...especially one that is giving this type of information. Load that thing up and turn it on, and skip the Ozzie and Harriet music too.

Loading plates at an angle is a way to get larger-diameter plates to fit that otherwise would not.  A particular brand/model of DW (that shall remain nameless) offers an optional plate rack insert that functions specifically as such.
