Got a good friend in Columbus, OH, who happens to be a Wascomat distributor, and a former Norge, Blackstone distributor as well. Spent all day up there today, on a well worth trip.

He manages to have one 50LB machine that he was going to scrap He said it was a w-184, but when I got up here and saw the machine, well it's a little better than a w-184. Here is a picture after getting the machine off the truck. The machine weighs ~600LB. So if you going to move one of these, you better eat your Wheaties!

The machine is FL184(Flex-O-Matic), looks like Jan,1987 manufacture date. Sounds about right. A 3 phase machine!

valves-> has hot and cold valves, and another inlet valve, not sure what the third one is for.

It's a massive machine, needs a good going over, a motor, and door lock mech. assembly. I was also given a used door lock mech for this machine, belts, an extra punch card reader, and several punch cards. Another machine crossed off the list of essential machines needed. Got to locate manual to figure out how to program the cards. This machine is OPL, so it has some additional features over coin-op machines. An awesome find!!

He also had a EX30? a 65LB machine that had 2 motors, one motor is for wash/normal extract, the other motor is for high extract. Due to that machine being not only bigger(taller and wider), it also weighed a few hundred pounds more, would have been impossible to unload from the pickup truck, so I could not take it home.

You need 3 phase power for this baby.

The tube connector on the side is for chemical injection. Looks to be home rigged, as there should be ports on the back for chemical injection near the water valves.

The 3 water valves are 1-hot, 2-cold and 3-hot to flush the detergent compartment.

Most parts from a Gen 4 machine should work on this. Get an extra dump valve, Berkert (drain) solenoid, door lock assembly, and water valves. If the bearings are good, this should be an easy rebuild and you should get lots more years out of it.

But you need 3 phase power...

Is he also crushing the TD3030 dryers? He should. I have 13 of them that I want to crush myself with a smile on my face and a tap in my toes!

3 phase power I have covered. The Ipso and Primus that I use as a main machine run on 3 phase. Correct, the FL184 is a Gen 4 machine. Bearings are appear to be good, but I will have to do a more thorough check when it is not so cold outside. No ports for chemical injection on the back. Why is there a dedicated valve on the very back of the machine for the detergent compartment? Is this exclusive to this model only, or is this also on some coin-op gen 4 series machines?

I asked him about the TD3030's and he has several down that need blower motors. When I was at the 2nd mat(the gen6 machine) I walked by a few TD3030's that were excessively loud, sounded like the blowers were going bad. They look like nice machines, but I got a feeling that they are not as reliable.
