Multiplying on a 10 key adding machine
Something not in the list was having to multipy on a 10 key adding machine.
235 x 143
235 +++ 705
2350++++ 10105
23500+ 23500
=
33605
I used to could divide but brain is way to old now.
When I first started as a programmer used octal based 000 to program for Texas Instruments then to decimal and then to hexidecimil. On the octal systems had to use a slide rule for some of the programming. The programs were punched on a Friden Flexowriter to a 1 inch wide paper tape with holes punch.
