Conventional Top Loaders
I like a good, conventional top-loader! They use more water and electricity than front loaders, but they are much simpler and can be more robust. Every FL I have ever used has a very VERY long wash cycle, and I like the conventional TL's ability to wash everything in 30-45 minutes. I like their sounds and watching the wash action, and if one breaks, I can often fix it. Yes a FL is more energy efficient, but a good TL will probably out-last it. Also, how much would you have to save in energy and water with the FL to break even considering the additional money spent on a FL?
