I second that Ken, white does match everything.

Our kitchen appliances are all white. GE electric stove, GE top mount refrigerator, White Magic Chef MW, Whirlpool DW and white Nu-Tone hood. The current mixer on the counter is a White Sunbeam 2360 Mixmaster. All the other small electric are kept in cabinets. I don’t like clutter. I rotate in different small electrics kept out and used.

Both kitchens are colour-centric (turquoise) and mostly brand-centric

 

In Ogden:

Majors - Wonder Kitchen, wall refrigerator - all GE, all turquoise.  There is a GE white mobile maid portable dishwasher too.

Smalls and accessories - turquoise

 

In St-Liboire:

Majors - Range and refrigerator - Frigidaire, turquoise.  The latest built-in dishwasher is a Whirlpool in turquoise; the portable is a KitchenAid, painted turquoise.

I have many smalls (many to many if you ask hubby) and I rotate them in and out.  The ones I use most often stay out.  The Thermomix I use almost every day.  The big mixer stays out because it’s too big to move in and out.  I have probably every brand of coffeemaker because I collect them.  Right now I have a Nespresso on the counter, a chemex tucked away in the corner and a vintage Jet-O-Matic percolator.  

 

My strategy for Fashion vs. Function – When I am making a major purchase like an appliance, I generally establish my budget and then find the best functioning choice I can for that function within my budget.  I have never purchased an appliance set to match.  I guess I try to Match..ISH if that makes sense.  Like the majors in the kitchen are all stainless but not the same brand.

Maytag washer & dryer, harvest gold with coppertone front panels.

Smalls:
Hamilton beach blender, harvest gold with brown cover.

Toastmaster hostess toaster, Avocado and chrome.

Lots of other small vintage gadgets stashed in the cabinets, and a ton of colorful tupperware. Even though I only use antique iron pans, I have a set of 70s enamelware that matches the kitchen.

Most all of the major appliances are Kenmore as you can tell. Now going mostly toward GE since Sears closed.

All Hotpoint major appliances in pink !!!! The wall oven restoration is profiled in an earlier thread.
The dishwasher is a Bosch.

Kitchen!

Our old house was a match of brand and color. All stainless Whirlpool Gold. They all were great for 10 years, except for the dishwasher. The Bosch came into play about 7 years in, and was stainless as well.

Currently, our rental has a Samsung dishwasher and refrigerator in stainless, a Frigidaire microwave in black, and Whirlpool stove in stainless.

I will say, it is very nice to have all matching brand and color appliances, but I would much rather have ones that are better performing and reliable.
