Have had one for 8 years, what a joy to use. only "con" is its weight, a bit heavy to tote up or down the stairs. Best in single story homes, or best to stay on one floor, as you seem to have done.
2001 Bosch
My 2001 Bosch 3-series has a sticker on the inner rim of the door: "BOSCH recommends Electrasol tablets and Jet Dry rinse agent". The DW came with a few free sample Electrasol tabs, and a small starter packet of Jet-Dry. Both products now sold as Finish. So tablets in the USA...
Spring 1972 at San Diego State University, which had a training program to certify education majors to be credentialed as driving teachers (using high school kids as guinea pigs). Great instructor in his early 20s. Course was once a week for two hours, over six weeks (two hours/session and only...
I have a Cuisinart DCC-1100 drip coffee maker. I clean it quarterly with 30 ml citric acid powder dissolved in a full (12 cups) decanter of water. My drip machines typically last over a decade with this regimen. Mid-range and higher Cuisinarts have a built-in "Clean" cycle, lasting about an...
My (Episcopal) parish has a second-hand Wolf commercial range with 6-8 burners, griddle, and two ovens (either 36" or 40" each, not sure). Commercial double door fridge. A commercial dishwasher was purchased when the space was renovated c. 2001, but it overwhelmed the century-old plumbing and...

control panel similar to the one in Laundress' video.
Both the Verve and (home-use) Miele rotaries use 120V. commercial Mieles need 240V.
Miele sells (home use) rotary irons in the USA. Are any other brands sold here, other than commercial models?

I do very well with a Cuisinart 1150. Hotplate keeps coffee hot (until I pour it into a thermos) and there is a 1-4 cup setting for small jobs. Auto Clean cycle as well, which I use quarterly to descale it.
I remember my mom had a beautiful (glass, steel, wood) Salton hot tray for keeping buffet food warm (but not for cooking). Looked like it belonged in MOMA in NYC.
Looked like this:

I have an over the range Amana AMV11254BAW from c. 2009. Some of the buttons ("5", fan and cooktop light buttons) have failed in the past three weeks. Oven and turntable work/cook fine, as long as I don't need the 5 button. However, now my hood fan and light are inoperative. I like my current MW...
