Good day! I just seen the pic of the day of a Lady Kenmore with the "piano Key" Controls. My Aunt had one of these when I was growing up and she would let me help with the wash ( I would sit and listen to the cycle... LOVED the sound of the machine going into spin when the wig-wag would make...
My GE did this and it was the fan on the motor ... take the bottom panel down and start it up and stop it if the fan is off the shaft it will vibrate and make a ticking noise. you can see it. loose. Had to replace the motor... very common with these.

my mother has this machine.... great if you use the jet clean plus steam cycle ....it uses 12 gal of water but its a long cycle 4 hr....

oops sorry, it was a KUDS 19 loved the soak and scrub cycle then when it went into the main wash would push the sani button to get the super hot rinse.

hey that would be cool to see... when we moved into the current home 26 years ago it had the kitchen aid superba loved that machine till it caught fire in 1986 the detergent cup shorted out while running... Whirlpool replaced the machine with a kuds 21 but my parents bought a maytag...
