Kitchen Aid I am a high end designer in Scottsdale, Arizona and we NEVER recommend Kitchen Aid products when we do appliance specifications for homes. The quality is terrible. We only recommend Miele and clients love their dishwashers.

Kitchen Aid You have a KDS-19 and it is a workhorse. My parents have the same machine and have had it since 1983. It still works better than anything new you can purchase today. It is also Hobart built, not Whirlpool.

General Electric They should go back to making quality appliances instead of todays junk. This washer design is truly unique! My father had this machine and it lasted for twenty years without a single repair.

Miele I have a Miele 4842 Washer and a 9802 Dryer and I must say, they are the best built, running modern machines out there! I love them and the washer is almost silent in operation.

Maytag Kevin, I did sell them and sorry they did not go to another member here on the forum :( I actually am sorry now that I did as I love Maytag. I replaced them with the Miele extra large size washer and dryer and must say, they are awesome and silent when running!

Miele I have a Miele and have not had any issues with build up? I am using there own tablets (Miele) that I purchased off of Amazon. They work great! Since they have changed Cascade I know they have had a lot of complaints about white build up on glass when run through dishwashers. Too bad...

Water Softners I have a Miele Dishwasher with a built in water softner and it works very well! The glasses come out perfectly clear and the interior of the machine, although it is seven years old looks brand new!

Yes It is a surgilator! My mother had a Whirlpool when I was growing up and it was a great machine and washed well. Great roll over with the Surgilator.
