2015 Speed Queens with Electronic Controls

I am guessing this picture from a 2012 post may give some clues to some of the buttons and the layout.

2015 Speed Queens with Electronic Controls

Does "Tall Post Impeller" in the 2018 column mean that it will basically be an HE machine, like a cabrio/bravos washer?

    Bosch Dishwasher Fire

I did receive recall notices in the mail, and a phone call from Bosch. It took all of about 5 minutes for the repairman to replace the controller.

New Kenmore dishwashers with Whirlpool's PowerWave wash arm

I remember our old KitchenAid Superba had a fan dry system. If you washed a load on the sani cycle with heated dry, you would seriously burn yourself if you grabbed something right after the cycle ended. When the fan turned on at the start of the dry cycle, there was a burst of steam that came...

    Lenor Unstoppable Beads

Could it be that some of the washing machines used today are not really reaching the set temperature, thus the detergents aren't cleaning as well as they did in the past? http://conversation.which.co.uk/energy-home/washing-machines-60-degrees-kill-bugs-detergent/

    Advertising Oops

Other than the funny typo, it is a perfect example of how someone who doesn't have the means to purchase appliances outright or access to reasonable credit ends up overpaying. Imagine how much cheaper it would be if they were purchased on sale at Lowe's, paid for with a Lowe's card which would...

Whirlpool Corporation Introduces New Hybrid Heat Pump Dryer Technology, HybridCare™

Jerrod: I assumed, perhaps incorrectly, that the door on the bottom right was to access filters or coils that would need to be routinely cleaned. Shall we wager? :-)

Whirlpool Corporation Introduces New Hybrid Heat Pump Dryer Technology, HybridCare™

I am going to assume that this dryer will have both a cold water hookup, similar to other whirlpool dryers that have a steam setting, and also a drain hose, since I don't see a condensate container. Wouldn't it be able to use the condensate or tap water to remove excess heat w/o impacting room...

Whirlpool Corporation Introduces New Hybrid Heat Pump Dryer Technology, HybridCare™

I wonder how quickly a 220V heat pump dryer would dry a typical load. I imagine it will use a drain hose and pump instead of a condensate collection bucket. http://investors.whirlpoolcorp.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=860720

GE Tries To Unload Appliance Business

I am all for us all being more than well off!    Based on the cordial discourse and the ease at which we AW members frequently reach a harmonious agreement, I am sure GE appliances would run smoothly under our collective direction.

    Home Phone Service Advice Needed

I love Ooma, too. We don't use our home phone line very often, but I like having an alternative to using a cell phone. We don't subscribe to Ooma's premium service, so we pay about $3.50 a month to Ooma for the required taxes. It is nice having unlimited long-distance calling for free, and...

You've never seen a dishwasher like this!

washdaddy: It uses more water than 58 gallons per hour. That is how much 180F rinse water, used for in the final rinse for sanitizing, it uses per hour.

    Electrolux Settles Dryer-Fire Class Action

It sounds like this includes Frigidaire brand too. If you have such a dryer, This should serve as an extra incentive to stay on top of accumulating lint. http://www.appliancemagazine.com/news.php?article=1750214&zone=0&first=1

    Kenmore 700 Washer

That is the washer my family had when I was growing up. It had a peanut-butter colored super roto-swirl agitator.

    No contest on dishwashing pods

Perhaps it has to do with how much soil is in the load. I have experienced sudsing with finish quantum when using the power scrub cycle. That cycle on my dishwasher does a heated prerinse and flush at a minimum, so I imagine there isn't much soil left by the time the wash starts with fresh...
