Western Auto Stores They were very common in the 1970's through the early 80's in southern Oregon. I think the last one to close was the Myrtle Creek store in the early 90s. By then they had Magic Chef appliances. I think it's a True Value now.

I can understand your perspective... I considered a countertop dishwasher on a few occasions myself, and was appalled at the prices of some of them. $900??! It better be a solid company with a very LONG and comprehensive warranty....especially when I can get a portable that does an adequate job...

They're good enough products.... ...but I don't buy them because they're overpriced and I don't want to indirectly contribute to some of Rich DeVos's causes.
