Well...... An old electric range/oven works and does basically the same thing as a new one. Some of the features on an older model are more desirable than a new one. The wiring is better and safer in a new appliance. A lot of older appliances were not even grounded. A newer appliance does not...

What you need to do.......... Is try silicone sealant for concrete. Fill in the crack and work it in with a trowel or even just your hands and don't use it sparingly. It worked for me.

I have a 1960 Zenith stereo console (model #SF188R). The turntable needle is picking up a lot of noise when playing records. It's almost like a microphone that's turned way too high. Is it a ground problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Looking for opinions and advice on new 18 inch dishwashers. The 18 inch fits the designated area in our kitchen perfectly but there are alot of choices so I'm calling up the experts.

Well...... Rule of thumb is that the cooktop should be gas and the wall oven be electric. An electric wall oven is supposed to be more accurate than a gas wall oven.

But....... Does the clock work?

The cooktop........ Is also a Hotpoint from the same year and same series although it is the basic model, not the top of the line. The top of the line cooktop for that year would have had a back dashboard with a clock and minute timer. I found my cooktop in someone's driveway ready to be thrown...

Customline sez........... Tie the bird up real good with thick cooking twine and use a good skewer. The bird shrinks and will fall apart if you don't bind it and skewer it well.
