Georgia Tech Industrial Design survey on washer interfaces

Yeah, I agree. I always had a special appreciation for any machine where the speed selector was independent of the timer.

    modern washers and dryers rant

Adding nothing to the discussion since you seem to have your fingers firmly in your ears but I think I'll contribute anyway. Understand that we've been seeing quality appliances with electronic controls for decades now. There's actually a Maytag electronic stack from the 80s in my post history...

Wow, the place looks great. I actually grew up in Mobile. That house looks like it's probably in Midtown? I went to HS in Midtown but we lived in between West Mobile and Spring Hill off Airport. You'll love the proximity to the beach--just a 1 hour drive and you're there.

Hey man, can you calm down a little on resurrecting old threads with the same reply every time? I know I can't be the only one getting weary of it, and it pushes all the interesting content lower on the forum.

    Ubuntu

Ubuntu is wonderful if you take the time to get used to it. There's no Microsoft Office but for the most part the OS is very usable and there's no need for the "fear" of Linux that most people have. You can make Ubuntu look and feel like Windows very easily by following this guide...
