    Letter to the club

Recently you may or may not have noticed a thread Robert put up here, called "Tonight I am Heartbroken." It outlined that someone had went into the VCCC website (Vacuumland.org) through a back door, signed up under 2 fake usernames, and posted the same (horrible) message to 25 different threads...

    Virgin Load tonight! Washer Bling

Every machine can be conquered! :) Jon, congratulations on finally getting the '55 back in service! What a beautiful machine, and what an accomplishment too on the mechanical work. Keep us posted on the maiden load (with the cabinet on, that is)!

    Schweet Whirlpool Portable/Stackable W&D Set

These machines actually spin at the same speed as a full-sized DD, which is 640 RPM. Not really the best move on Whirlpool's part as the narrow tub hurts the extraction ability. The earlier BDs really have the edge there.

    My Bluing Turned Gray

Just curious, have you tried adding it to some water to see what it does? Does it turn the water grey? I may be going out on a limb here (once again), but could it be that the color has changed and *not* the compound within it?

Really old westy on ebay - Glendale

Very cool, hope someone grabs it! That looks like the original door (note the handle), just a different window.

    GE Dishwasher Recall (second time)

Very interesting. I saw the report on Fox today which I thought was a bit misleading for the average consumer, as the machine they showed wasn't a machine from 1997-2001 on the recall list, but one that looked closer to 1987. Wonder how many false reports GE will receive from customers who don't...

    Dyson DC-21 Cannister

Hi Mark, I know what you mean about the cleaning ability. You should have seen the bin after I ran it in the back room (which leads to the backyard and gets a LOT of traffic)...nasty! We have a Rainbow which isn't a bad machine, but the Dyson has picked up a lot it has left behind as well...

Sometimes you have to be COMBODACIOUS!

Jon, awesome news, glad to see it washing away! The chain-drive timer is TRES cool...I didn't know they were like that. I'll have to remember that relay trick you did when I have to change a water valve. Good luck on the remaining restoration work!

    I am pissed!!!

This Super forum turns over faster than a Unimatic sometimes Same could be said about the Tucson thread, as well as a lot of threads before Robert implemented the non-archiving. At least I saved my Dyson DC21 thread when I did.

    Dyson DC-21 Cannister

Woohoo! Mark, glad you finally took the plunge on a new DC21, and I can't think of a better person to buy it from either! I talked to him on the phone this afternoon and he mentioned that you came in and bought one. I have to say, his knowledge of all makes and models of cleaners, not just...

At least we won't have to worry about him running for President now (remember that old thread?).

    My Own little Lady :-)

Interesting...sounds like the flapper valve might be stuck. A new pump would definitely fix this. Do you have a repair manual by any chance? Austin

    Well, I'm just speechless!

    Don't soft delete! ;-) LMAO

    COPPERTONE LADY SET FOUND

Wow, another great Kenmore find! Congratulations Jim, what awesome machines, looks like they've cleaned up quite nicely as well, and with the baseless Roto-Flex no less! You'll have hours of fun with that. Approximately what year are these, and was the Roto-Flex offered for more than one...

    My Own little Lady :-)

And another (more likely) possibility would be a loose wire on one of the solenoids. Be sure to post some action shots when you get the faucet adapter and run a few loads! :)

    My Own little Lady :-)

Jon, congratulations, that machine looks absolutely MINT! Since it's had so little use, perhaps the cam bars and wig-wag plungers need to be lubricated? That might help, however, since you said that on some occasions it isn't coming out of the drain position, it could be a bad solenoid on the...
