I saw this cute lonely little bottle on the shelf. What made me take it home was the gaurantee that it was a LOW sudser and that it was a concentrate and that it was formulated with extra powerful soil suspenders just for front load HE machines NOT for top load HE machines.

It smells nice and chemically not floral and as you can see it is holding its own in my 1956 HE Bendix!!

Beautiful Bendix, Jon Charles!

Does Tide 2X claim to be low-sudsing on the packaging? I'm starting to see 2X liquid on the shelves around here, but have so much Tide (in various forms) in the house already that I can't possibly add more. All Tide products seem to make a lot of suds in my very soft water. Not so much in the wash cycle, but it really wants to hang on through the rinses.

I'm surprised that the door didn't fly open and all the wash water and clothes were spewed out on the floor! Tide HE in a Bendix?!?!?! What is the world coming to???

I would have thought for sure that have an endless supply of Dash...

I bought a bottle of Arm & Hammer Essentials recently. It doesn't say HE, but there's very little sudsing with a full dose in my F&P. Haven't yet tried it in my Calypso, and haven't yet used it enough to judge how well it cleans.

Re: Tide he liquid

jetcone,

I'm glad you brought up this thread regarding this new Tide he product. I purchased a very large bottle of this from Sams'
and have used it a couple of time in my Sears HE front-load machine. Recently I washed a large bed spread and used what I thought was the appropriate amount which was "3" on the cap.
Halfway through the wash cycle, the "suds" light came on and the machine just pause for what seem like 20-30 minutes before the wash cycle restarted. I have never had this machine to do this before. Did I use too much? I was going to call the P&G Company but would like to hear from other folks intake on this as well. Thanks,

John

I had a couple of over-sudsing tragedies in my 53 Bendix combo with this product over the weekend. I washed my mattress pad on Saturday morning and almost immediately, the suds were being forced out the soap dispenser door on top of the machine. Then, on a load of regular clothes that I used the soak cycle & reset for main wash cycle, the machine shut off from overheating the motor trying to deal with the suds! I decided that I must be using to much - it must be very concentrated! I haven't had a problem with the lower water level in the Duet, but it makes me wonder if it's being rinsed away properly - in any machine.

I've been using the Tide 2x HE with bleach and havn't had any issues yet. I never fill the cap above line 2, Unless it's whites with really grimmy white sox (which is just about every load of white in this house). I'm really more of a powder type guy but this stuff is starting to win me over to liquid.

Gansky-- You must have very soft water, too. I find Tide products clean well but are difficult to rinse out when the water is uber-soft. Of all the detergents I use (Ariel, Persil, SA8, Tide CW, Tide HE (powder & liquid), Tide W/Bleach, Plain Old Tide, Sam's Club Institutional, Ace and Viva), the Tide products are the only ones that can suds-lock the TL Frigidaire.

Hope your Bendix has recuperated!

Fresh Start. Have never seen it in any stores around here. I did find Fab at Dollar General Store though.

I have only used Tide in a couple of frond loaders

I was dating a guy with a Creda, he always bought the reguar Tide, it seemed to me that with that machine, it was difficult with reguar Tide to ever cut it down enough to where the clothes would get clean and the machine would complete the program. We had a Frigimore at work in one locaton.A co worker loaded it up and put way too much in there. I ran the washer though five cycles to get all of the Tide out of it. The clothes in the washer were clean. With my front loader that i currently have, I am a Huge Sa-8/German Persil fan, both are exelent. I have seen those bottles of Tide when i would go to the store, i always open the bottle and take a smell, not bad really.Has anyone noticed the appliance manufactures has changed from the powder Tide HE to this newliquid formulation? I did not see my washer listed on the new one.Strange? what do you think? Does anyone have both to compare?

Greg I had the same problem

this Tide works in my Gyramatic and it rinses very well actually excellently well. But I am only using around level 1 on the cap. I never get suds above where the photo shows.
And all rinses appear sparkling even the rinse drain and I have soft water.
BUT I tried it in my Combo and like yours the suds came out the top door. I had to go the emergency route and add Downy Rescue Liquid Suds Kill to get it to even drain after wash.

I wonder if the bigger tumbler-agitator in the Combo is a real suds maker??

I do like the scent and it does work in the Gyra very well.
BUT I will never give up Persil now!

I'll take a pic of the back label so you all can read it,I should've posted that as well.

Jon
