I have the pink Westinghouse front loading set. I've been using the washer for 4 years no problem. However the washer is no longer pumping out water and there are a couple of leaks. Is there anyone in Florida who works on them? I may need a new pump and not sure how possible it is to save but I would hate to have to throw it out and leave it's mate to finish laundry on its own.
I kind of desperate for help. My name is Dave please feel free to text me at 412-370-5907.

Dave worse comes to worse if you cannot find a pump you can always retrofit and easily wire in an electric washer drain pump. I use the GE top loader electric pumps when I absolutely have to. Here is a perfect example of one you can use...

Pump:

Tub to Pump Hose:

You'll have to find a place in the machine to mount the new electric pump and you'll need to connect the original tub outlet hose to the new tub to pump hose, but it absolutely can be done. You can use the two electrical leads leading to the pump solenoid to connect the new pump to send power to it at just the right times.

All this can be done with hardware and accessories you can get at Ace Hardware or Home Depot, etc.

Never get rid of these!

These are too awesome to get rid of. There is always a way to repair them if you keep them from rusting and leaking. Although I wouldn’t use them as daily drivers just to keep them operating!

Pump

Those pumps are usually found on Ebay.Putting in an electric pump would make the machine a mongrel nothing worse. The sound the pump makes is very cool. No substitutions I always say.

Door Boot

Where did you get a door boot for your machine or was it still good?I ask this of the Hoover dude as well.I have a white top of the line square window machine like that. The shipper destroyed it and I had to put it back together like Humpty Dumpty.
