Ok Folks. The Washer Part Is Done.

Hi to all,

I just emailed several of you the sales manual for the washing machines. If anyone wants the dryer portion done as well I will be glad to scan and send. (Now that I have figured out AOL's size limit). I also have the one for the 1971 Hotpoint dishwasher and fridge/freezer lines, so just let me know.

Enjoy!

The Hotpoint washer I'm thinking about is a later 70's, early 80's Top-Of-the-Line model that has a straight 4-vane 2-in-1 handwash agitator. Has anyone ever seen the Hotpoint straight vane? I think their agitator is better than GE's straight 4-vane agitator.

Thanks macboy91si

Thanks for the view inside the Hotpoint, I've always wondered how they worked.

In regards to the spray-rinse on the Hotpoint Filter-Ring, I have found if you cut away a small square of the rubber right on the tip end of the fill flume nozzle, it allows some water to spray over into the wash tub. This allows it to have an effective spray-rinse.

I like the Filter-Ring method in the Hotpoint's, as opposed to the Filter-Pan in the GE's. I just don't care to fool with that pan and having to manually remove those cold, damp balls of lint. Eeeeew.
