Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

We've Come A Long Way Babies

This was a feature article on the front page of the Chicago Tribune Metro section. Chicago Pride was the same weekend as Minneapolis Pride, but I was thrilled to spend the weekend with Robert, Greg, et al. I am particularly proud since I serve on the board of the Center on Halsted. Historically, I have had an issue with Pride parades since I thought that it portrayed an stilted view of the gay community. This kind of puts it into perspective. Nice to have something to be proud of.

Wow

Larry, thanks for the vid.
(panting)
not only talented and funny...
but h-h-h-HAIRY and HOTTT.
I love the hairy boys.
(sigh)
I miss the 70s and 80s.

I don't know who Tom Maloney is,
but I don't blame him for being
"excited"
about Paul Hunt.

I must admit that I am a bit "excited"
about this HAIRY hottie.

(can you tell I am not a fan of the whole electrolosis/shaving fad. decimating ones body, it's just not natural or healthy. so fake.)

Erik, I agree in general (love hairy chests and forearms), but as you get further into your 40s you may find yourself changing your opinion about hair removal. That's when nature starts to get confused for many guys: it stops growing hair on their heads and starts growing it out their ears and noses.

For others it's purely a practical issue, i.e. not many people like a mouthful of body hair during sex.

"That's when nature starts to get confused for many guys: it stops growing hair on their heads and starts growing it out their ears and noses."

Actually it isn't nature getting confused, it is people in the U.S. failing to admit their age and corporations exploiting people by making them feel self conscious about it..
and guilty.
In hopes of getting them to spend money on ....
delusions of "youth"?? that with every passing day we ALL get further from, like it or not.

Nature is what it has been for 100s of years.

And this is an interesting topic.

I'm 41 and proud of it. I wouldn't want to be 25 or 15 again. In fact in the U.S. we are all living longer.
70s, 80s, and beyond is not rare any more.

I want it to be healthy and content for me. One sure way of aging yourself is with bad thoughts, like wishing you were something else.
and unhealthy actions. like surgery or "procedures" that can end up actually doing more damage to your skin and body. bad diet, etc.

If you have seen some of my You-Tube videos, you know what I look like. I have some gray hair and I won't be coloring my hair, even when it goes gray.
I'm not nearly as hairy as I wish I were. And I wouldn't shave if I had it, or (eek) electrolysis (spelling whatever) Excuse me, I have to puke.
And vice-versa, I won't take hormones to build muscle and or grow hair. I am what I am.

so there are 2 issues:
1. Being healthy, body and mind
and
2. looking "young"???

Which do you want?

you can be either one independently and you can be both at a certain time in your life.

but it is important to understand how you define "youth"

I want health. Healthy mind, body, and soul.

It is amazing how some people are willing to sacrafice their health in order to have "youth" (plastic surgery)(I gotta do vlog on this). sad but true.
It is like they don't realize that youth does not imply that one is healthy.
Looking young simply means that a person hasn't matured.

Remember in the 50s when "everyone" thought it was cool to smoke or for Woman, LOL, to have a bee-hive hair-doo.
OH god, funny.
todays equivalent the phoney shaved, steroided, fake overly white teeth, orange skinned, collagen lipped, republican-militarized look is pathetic for the same reason.

I saw it coming on 8 years ago or so.
said NO. glad I did. I don't want to sound harsh. I'm better than that.

As for the hair. When I see a guy who is intact. and looks happy with his life. seems happy with his life.
THAT is attractive.
Give me Jeremy Piven in his Ellen days 1996 (cute bald spot, compact hairy body, back, shoulders, etc.) vs. today in Entourage(the hair plugs) sorry.
Tom Selleck, Ed Harris, (Yum) vs. Tom cruise (big NO).

oh boy, I've rambled.
Bottom line, the more people(baby boomers, hello) chase an unrealistic pathetic ideal,
(more like let themselves be lead by the nose)
and as each day we ALL get older,
the more frustracted they will get.
and thus, the more unhealthy.
thus hastening the aging.
and the need for investment in more drastic "age reducing" techniques...
and the older they will get....
and on and on.
And I am just going to stand back and watch, cuz, I aint playin'.

I wish you all well. Find Peace

I like furry, too

In fact, all the male secondary sexual characteristics are turn-ons for me...and I have never understood this passion for boys trying to look like girls.
But - hey, everyone has a right to do their own thing, look the way they want to. Tom Selleck's chest or Ben Cohen's, now those are men.

It's just a bit sad that so very many gay guys absolutely fixate on the looks thing. The mustache clipped with millimeter precision, the "in" look which leaves me thinking: high, higher, highest maintenance...and is there anybody in there? We all get older, if we're lucky. Watching the guys in their 50's who are themselves can be hot. I've danced with a guy in his 70'a who had 'it' still...but we all know the vacuous 25 year olds who are going to turn into the bitchy killer queens once they stop looking like bitchy princesses.

Clean, now that's something else. I like clean. But there is nothing hotter than a guy who's just woke up with bed hair, stubble and a big smile on his face. Nothing. Especially when you put that smile there.

IMO it's a cultural thing, not a gay or straight thing, e.g. read any magazine, watch any TV channel etc and see how much shoulder and back hair you find. I bet you don't find any.

One other point: this superficiality cuts both ways. Have you ever watched someone who claims they don't place much importance on people's looks channel surf on a TV? They are no more likely than anyone else to stop on a program that's showing an old, fat or ugly person, and they're no less likely to stop on a program showing young and attractive people. I believe it's simple human nature to seek physical beauty, whether we admit it or not.

Well he's smiling, has his hand on his gun and seems to

Jeff,

There was a barrier between me and thee and when he smiles and show his grills, it made me melt like butter because of his handsomness!
Also being a city employee I do respect the uniform while on duty.
So you just never know, I may run into him again......

Aw c'mon, he's at a gay pride parade! Look at the gay flags on his bike!

Next time just walk up, shake his hand, thank him for being there and then slip him your business card, or a piece of paper with your phone# on it. You might be surprised.

Probably the hottest short-term fling I ever had was with an L.A. cop (an ex-bf of my sister). 6'4" drk brn hair blu eyes and most importantly he really know how to work that cop attitude when he has off-duty.his cop attitude topness didn't come off when his uniform did.

Panthera, that is a very cool photo

Where did you find it?

I am with you on this. I like men who look, act, and smell like men.

The last 10 or so postings are very interesting and fun.
Espeically love the Paul Hunt vids, great body.
I'm sure he could give a great body hug ... and then some.
Regarding the issue of aging, I think it should happen gracefully with a health mind and body.
Quality food and frequent movement (exercise) are top of the list for me along with having healthy social relationships.
Just my 2 cents worth.
Also, love hair on a healthy body, the best!!

Saw Tom Petty and Steve Winwood at the Marcus Ampitheater at Summerfest last night. Completely Awesome!! Magnificent show!! I love classic rock, the best!!

Since I'm part of the 5-some from last weekend in Minneapolis and it's a week ago, I have to comment on the amazing time I had. A momumental weekend in many respects but most amazing since I was with some incredible friends. The weekend was everything and more than I could have ever imagined.

Robert, you are an amazing host. I love your playfullness, enthusiasm for life and groundedness. It was wonderful meeting Neal, spending time and getting to know him. A great guy!! Greg, I smile and giggle to myself everytime I think of you from last weekend. You kept me in stitches .... the way I like to be. I love these little junkets when we get to spend time together. Fred, what can I say, I treasure our talks and time together ... always the best!! I feel very lucky!! Don, spending time with you and seeing Scott was awesome. Thanks for being such a great co-host. And to everyone else I met and saw, thanks for being a part of a very memorable weekend.

Pride was a week ago today and Minneapolis does a spectacular job. Given several changes in my life, I'm very thankful for the entire experience. It all felt like home. I had the best time and I look forward to next year and all that experience will bring.

Thanks from a very grateful guy!!

Alan,

Let's play a little game and see who can name him first. If nobody does - unlikely - I'll post the name.
Clues:
1) He's uncut
2) He' not Jewish (see #1)
3) He's not American
4) He is not gay
5) He's very active in the Aids movement
6) He spends tons of his own money helping kids
7) He says his gay fans are the best
And that was just a slightly-hot pic of him, everything is in proportion and he is not tiny.

It's not hair...............

...........it's a rug. In the words of the old Woolite commercial, "Shampoo this afternoon, entertain friends tonight!"

My fur has worked well for an old guy. Now it's white so I have to think of the adage: "there may be snow on the roof but fire in the furnace!"
