Architect Series

The color, contrast and detailing in the kitchen is stunning. The Architect series Artisan looks great. You should be so pleased with your work, it will stand the test of time.

I see I'm not the only one who uses his iPad in the kitchen. Is that the stand from Williams-Sonoma featuring a built-in bluetooth speaker? Do you keep recipes on your iPad? I use a wonderful recipe management app called Pepperplate. You can import recipes from about 20 sites (AllRecipes; Foodnetwork; Taste of Home; etc.) which is super-convenient. No more typing in recipes by hand.

I've used MacGourmet on the iMac and MacBook for years, but the corresponding iPad app (called MacGourmet Touch) is disappointing, due to an unnecessarily complicated syncing process to get recipes from computer to tablet. Have been waiting (and waiting, and waiting) for an update that will streamline the process.

Again, a beautiful, high-tech kitchen. Great job, guys!

iPad Stand

Hey there -

Yes, it's the iPad stand from Williams-Sonoma. I didn't get the speaker though. I have a Bluetooth Bose speaker that I use for my kitchen music! I'll have to look into Pepperplate. I'm a reformed cookbook junkie. I've been thinning the collection as I use the 'net now for most recipe searches. I wanted to make room for the iPad in the new kitchen to both enjoy my music and take advantage of digital recipe books.

It's been a big year for changes -

--as much as we love the new kitchen, we're moving!

Mike and I have lived in our home for almost 16 years and there's always been one house in our neighborhood that we've admired. It has been on and off the market now for the better part of two years.

Well, we were sitting here one night and I was looking online at Realtor.com at the house. The listing agent is a customer of mine - and we decided to send an email to ask about the place and see if we could just "look". All it took was stepping on the front porch and we were hopelessly in house-love!

This grand old place was built in 1927 for the Fleischmann family (of the gin/yeast brand fame.) There was a massive Fleischmann factory on the banks of the Hudson River here in Peekskill, and this was their home. The house has been amazingly well preserved for all of these years. We are more than excited to be taking ownership this December!

Stunning remodel; beautiful "new" house

Wow - your kitchen remodel is stunning! The blend of modern design with vintage touches is perfect. Would it be OK if my wife "pins" a picture of your kitchen on her Pinterest page? She loves it!

Keep everybody posted on the new house (pictures, projects etc.) We would love to see it!
