I've always dreamed of having an undercounter Hobart or similar commercial unit with lots of heat and power and quickness to wash my dishses.... Now true I can buy one at Lowes???

Hmmmm...LOL, would it melt plastic cups and storage containers or not? Would it even be worth it

One of these would be really cool.

But I would think you would have to have a lot of dishes.   It sometimes takes us a day or two to accumulate a full load of dishes.  I just don't think that would justify holding a full tank of hot water on the ready.

Blakeslee Dishwasher:

I remember using one in the middle school cafeteria. Pretty nice machine. I hadn't heard that name for a while as they aren't common around here. Most places that don't have a Hobart lease the machine from their chemical company.

Phil cool little EL machine. Judging from the design of the wash arms it looks to be Hobart sourced.

re; Insinkerator commercial

I've not seen that, but we used to have even larger units in the produce dept. back rooms. We called them garbells. They ground up anything except corn stalks.

That SS-75 was sure a cool little brute. But it is only 3/4 Hp

If you want something a bit more manly how about the 10 Hp (!!) SS-1000. If your disposer has legs... Holy $#&%

So Nick, are you saying the EcoLab machine is a hobart, or just the design? I have no knowledge of these commercial beasts...

I'll agree with Nick.

The Wash Arms are very similar to a Hobart.

Blakeslee years ago made a good heavy well constructed machine. You certainly don't hear that name often. Especially Insinger too.

Insinger I think has and has had for decades the contract on Dish Machines for the U.S. Navy Ships.

Phil:

The dishmachine you show appears to be a Hobart built model. Based on the LXe platform. I have some insider information from my Ecolab guy and from a Hobart tech that Ecolab is sourcing some dishmachines from Hobart. Ecolab guy says they are much better than the Jackson or E-lux machines Ecolab also offers.

A side note: That SS-75 disposal is a good small commercial unit and can handle a lot of food for it's size. As far as a "more manly" disposal we have the SS-300 at work(3hp, 480/60/3 unit with 7 inch cone and automatic water feed and shutdown timer). It is paired with a Hobart CL44e dishmachine and 2 Hatco booster heaters.
BTW: That SS-1000 would be like Tim the tool man's disposal when he ground up a small tree. LOL:)

Truth be Told!

The supposed Hobart sourced Ecolab machine is actually built by Moyer-Diebel and is a clone of their current machine here in the North American market. Moyer and Champion Industries are sister companies located in Winston-Salem NC. They are part of the Ali Group located in Europe.

Hobart, per se, does not build any machines for Ecolab, but has in the past but Hobart's sister company, Stero does in fact, now make the conveyor style machines for Ecolab. Ecolab as well as many others have owned and sold Jackson Faspray and now Stero builds them and they have been well received. They look very much like the ones they used to have built. Still a typical Stero heavy duty machine look to them.
Surpirsed that the Ecolab guy did not provide the particulars as mentioned above.

I have had  quite a few commercial disposers Busboy, National, In-Sink-Erator 75,Hobart,American Delphi  and a Waste king 1 H.P. .The Waste king grinds finer and can grind anything.American Delphi is the only one that can beat it . The I.S.E. 75 is just very fast but, it will stop up my lines bad. I sold it on Ebay and made 500 off of it.American Delphi is my favorite, there now called Fabwright looking down into them looks like a sharks mouth teeth everywhere.I sold the American delphi and the Hobart years ago like a moron..I still have my Waste-king though it's a 1982 model new when I got it and I have only tested it.

That is a pic of the inside of a small American Delphi or Fabwright .. I don't think anybody can beat that for a disposer.

Mine had a ripper blade in the center it's not pictured on this one..
