WCI - World-Class Incompetence.
And that's not stainless, trust me. Brushed chrome, not one more micron in thickness than is necessary to coat the base metal.
Some things just need to go to the crusher. Becoming a Kia is a far more dignified end for steel than this.

That range is EXACTLY like the one my neighbor Ruth had. It came with the house when they bought it, and according to her, every day it was there was one too many.

....That a WCI-built Kenmore range is not exactly the pinnacle of quality. Flimsiness, not-so-great baking performance and rusting of that brushed chrome top are just a few of the issues I would anticipate. In Atlanta, I had a Kenmore range with a brushed chrome top, and you would not believe the effort that went into keeping it rust-free and presentable.
You'd also be dealing with Sears on parts. Not fun.
