40 years of washing powder

Sitting here this evening watching the usual garbage on TV. And on pops an advert for Percil.

Now I can say I have been watching well over 40 years of commercial TV. So what I want to know is?

Just how many formulation improvements and "NEW IMPROVED!" washing powders there have been.
