A good day, 2 dishwashers and a WP BD

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

That's a nice looking Kitchenaid

Looks like the one I saw in Saginaw, and still might go pick up.

I'm planning on coming to your shop sometime this coming week and I'll get to see them in person!

I'm trying to schedule a day when my hubby has time so we can use his truck "just in case". I would take his truck myself, but my feet don't reach the pedals :(

Although, I'm pretty crafty and can shove a lot of stuff in the backseat of my Stratus :)

I'm interested to hear about the Maytag too.

Love that Maytag!!!

Nice scores!

Great Maytag Reverse Rack! I liked that racking system...Guess the masses never thought is was too practical as it never was used in any other machine of which I am aware.

KitchenAid and Kenmore:

The perfect combo of appliances for any 1970s home. That washer is stunning, and looks to be in mint condition. The Kitchenaid Imperial was a very popular model during the 1972-74 time frame. Awesome finds.

Have a good one,
James

Looks like the maytag is missing the silverware basket. I loved the reverse rack style. That kenmore washer, don't you have the4 dryer that matches, but not in the same color? Was the dryer soberleaf was really intersted in when he came to visit.

The Maytag silverware basket is there, just not in the pic. Yes, I have the matching dryer in harvest gold. I really wish they were a perfect match. The dryer is mint, and the washer is pretty nice too. I like those oversized dials. Anyone know the date on the Maytag? And my shop is stuffed again, arrrgggg. But how can I pass this stuff up? People in Grand Rapids have a reputation for being thrifty (some would say cheap tightwads, lol) which is why so many old machine are still around here. On the other hand, most of the stuff I find are BOL's or practical, not flashy. matt

I had a reverse rack Maytag that I purchased new in '91. It was a great dishwasher. No matter what I put in it, everything always came out clean. And the cycles were relatively quick. the short was was 67 minutes, normal was 75 min. and pots & pans was 90 minutes including dry time. On my new Kitchen Aid the short cycle alone is almost 90 minutes.

One of my favorite Kenmores designs !

Anyone know where this fit in the line ? I'm pretty sure it's from the 1972 or so era. So the 800 was in the line at this time. Was this one below or above the 800 ? It has all the features but uses the alphabet design/ no think temp selection system like the Lady K just without the auto timer stop system. Does it have a full panel light ? Ed
