very nice!!!

that is one sweet little machine. the color is great. Let us know how it does when you run it.

Geez Don, the little GE looks like it just came from K-Mart! Did you have it on lay-away and just now were able to pick it up? ;-)

very cool little machine, I bet you'll have fun with it. Certainly looking forward to seeing it on my next trip up.

Keeey-ute!

What a handsome little thing! Hitachi made these, no? Great find!

Impeller machines are fun, and fully automatic ones are the best of all. No more chapped cuticles...no more burned hands!

"Set rinse temp"

Oh, I love that. I can't tell you how many times Will did the laundry and I found steaming-hot clothes after the rinse. Beats cold-water washing, I guess...

That is very nice; looks like it was bought and stashed
and barely used. In the Spring of 07 I fetched one of those
from a Craigslist "free items" listing. I drove for miles in uncharted territory to pick it up thinking the whole time I was getting a smart vintage Whirlpool portable. It was alleged
to be fully operational by the givee. It looked like a pitiful
little wretch out side the rear alley garage door where it was left. "Curses" , I said , "What a dumb bag to look at machine that had GE on it and say it was a Whirlpool!" "Ofw",
I said, and hefted it into the back of my pickup. I still
haven't "fired it up". It don't look anywhere near as well
cared for as your little beauty. Very nice save!!!

What a beauty!

There really is a vortex going on in there. As my teenage daughter says, "Suweet!"
I am always amazed where the members find these machines. How did you get it?

Hitachi

Well done!

My cousin had one of these from new in Australia. She washed for a family of 4 including a husband who is a mechanic in it. It eventually found its' way to my parents coast house where it was still going strong until the timer stopped advancing.

We used it as a semi automatic from that point on. Fill. Turn timer. Wash and time with the stove for 10 min. Turn the timer until it started to drain...etc...until the full cycle had been done...

Eventually, we got tired of this and gave it away to some people who had nothing....at least it did 'work'...

...just be careful of the lid hinges, they tend to crack the plastic...

These are so cute!!!

Have you washed your Undies and Socks in it yet? I have heard that they are wonderful for whites!
I would love to find one!
Brent

PS.....What did the dryer look like?
