A New Idea in Filtration

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I dont see the difference between recycling sewerage and just adding a few additives to dam water that has animal crap in there, farm run off, petrochemicals and human waste from smaller towns further upstream.

At least with reverse osmosis the water is actually clean.

I have no issue with it at all.

It is high time that we recovered as much usable water from sewerage as possible and put it back in the system.

If they can make the water cleaner than ground water, then there is absolutely NO problem with it! I would totally drink it! Think of all the fish that have crapped and died in the water we drink as it is!

If more people

don't start thinking about using current supplies of fresh water more carefully, strategies such as this will become important, and perhaps, eventually mandatory. Maybe by 2030 or later, but eventually.

If I owned my place instead of renting, I would seriously consider a gray water system (washing machine water, say) to flush, et cetera.

I wouldn't use gray water to wash clothes, but wouldn't mind using it for watering the landscape and the toilets.

My goodness my grandparents home had stone cistern in the ground, that collected rain water off the roof, and did so until the early 1970's, bird poop, wasp nests, leaves, all filtered only with a rusty window screen. It's interesting that "no tech" will become high tech some day. After a rural waterline went to her home, she continued to use "cistern water" for her garden. She did get her first automatic washer when the waterline came, but after 30 years of a wringer, i figure she did her part.
