Of course you probably already know that AW people are some of the nicest people in the world-for example...

When I announced recently that Dennis and I were moving back to our homeland of Minnesota, another member here emailed me privately. This person, who asked to remain on the downlow, was concerned that we would not have adequate clothing for the midwest and would not be able to find such things here in the tropics. So a HUGE package arrived at my house the other day with 2 warm fleecy pullovers, 2 thermal undershirts, thermal stockings, 4 different stocking caps and two pair of gloves. It was a very generous gift, beyond what I might have expected, especially when one considers the shipping cost.

Thank You so very much! I am deeply touched that someone would take the time to select and ship such a thoughtful gift. Dennis commented that the items are just our style! It is funny too, because I was feeling uneasy about finding some of the warm things we would surely be needing. (Will be in MSP on 2/15)

May You stay deeply warm the rest of this winter Dear Friend!

I love it when people are generous, then prefer to remain anonymous. You're a peach, whoever you are.

And guys, have a great flight back to the mainland. I'm only sorry that we have to welcome you back to a 'real' upper-midwest winter. We'd been spoiled by the last few wimpy ones.

I agree Greg!!
David and Dennis I didn't realize your move was so close! Be sure to keep us all posted. Hopefully we will be able to see each other more often now. I am still happy that I was able to visit with you guys this past October while in Maui!

You're a peach...

...with those sensuous rounded hills on either side of that beautiful deep cleft. Has anyone traveled down I-85 and seen the Big Peach? I am shocked that a Southern town would allow such a blatantly sexual object of that size to tower over their city.

Yes, indeed. Hooray for big packages and the kindness of others!

The two peaches in Atlanta, you mean? The one on top of the IBEW building and the other over the Brookwood split?

I live near the big chicken -- or so they say it is a chicken...

Peach

PeterH770,I think Tomturbomatic is referring to the peach in Gaffney,SC.It is a water tower.
