Brent, that is a wonderful car to drive. I had a '79 Town Coupe once and it had a 400cu engine which was not as severe as the 460 cu when it came to the fuel issue. No Volks Beetle either! I think Gary's also has that 400cu. A couch on wheels.
BTW, what with the cost of fuel these days that Cressida is sounding good about now. I remember when those first came out and we used to laugh at them-----ignorant of what good cars they really were. Very high quality level.
Jason- I never once plugged that GE in! Georgie and I saw it sitting in the yard at the old Lejax Appliance store in Anniston,Al. a few years ago. I rescued it as I did not recall that console design and thought it somewhat unique.
Jon and Tony were here back in January and we unwrapped it ( cocooning machines in plastic for storage/transfer is my trademark!) and looked it over----but did not plug it in.
Nothing about it seemed "abused", and I saw no "moving trauma".
Be advised I likely poured some anti-freeze down into the pump as that was one of the machines I had in outside storage (garage)when I still lived in Atlanta. Be sure you flush it out good----away from doggies and kitties!
