I would love to run into something like an Aberdeen Farm...
I'd give my eyeteeth just to have the opportunity to go through that field. Too bad it is now just that, a field.
I couldn't imagine if there was an Aberdeen Farm FILLED with really old HVAC and, much better yet, really old commercial kitchen and laundry equipment. I'd have to be carted off to a mental institution, cause I'd go crazy. I'd be more giddy than I would winning $500 million in a lottery.
My Midwestern childhood home was not too far from a state highway (it's not what you think, it was really a two lane country road)...up that road, there was an old abandoned homestead with old trucks, farm implements and a couple of appliances. I took an old Kirby and a heavy steel fan blade four feet in diameter, all in a large wheelbarrow also taken from the old homestead. Mom wanted to bring my neck, Dad just shrugged his shoulders.
I live in the PNW and do a lot of hiking and camping in out-of-the-way places. So far, nothing but some old, old cars and trucks, a creepy 1940s fridge or two, and believe it or not, an old IBM PS/2 tower, the really tall, narrow ones from the late '80s or early '90s. How or why that would be laying in the woods, miles from any road, is anyone's guess. I wondered if some evidence to a crime resided on it's hard drive, but it had been there for a while and was no doubt destroyed by the PNW rain.
