A visit to the "appliance Junkyard" in Phoenix (actually Glendale, AZ)

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

"Drop You're Pants & Jacket off" self service o

Wonderful treasures lurking behind the sun rain drenched stowaways for some lucky home.

The store name and my name Amanda Deal With as owner operator of this fine establishment, offering additional services inc rocks polished in the lower level every other night with reservations. This new group of friends in Milwaukee, I meet years ago, amazed to learn of my little secret about appliances, and created this new handle & store name with a hidden agenda for the man in the know.

Fun to see the yard of treasure & this logo Thanks Launderall

Actually, it looks like this place could use a good culling.

To be truthful, the place would be much more manageable if the owner disposed of the plastic tub dishwashers, a lot of the Kenmores in poor condition, ranges in poor condition and the recent refrigerators. Parts for them are available now and it looks like a lot did not last long anyway. Probably do not need most of the front load washers either. Even a library has to do some "culling", books in poor condition, have not be checked out in a long time are often given away.

Old thread

Are those machines still there? There might be a Maytag 808 dryer lurking somewhere in there and there’s Maytag HOH parts galore from what I can see since there are a few in this appliance junkyard.

Are you sure an 808 console is made of plastic? I believe they are made out of glass, yes it would be faded but otherwise would be there. Things do fade out here but won’t rot away compared to where it’s humid along with almost subzero temperatures in the wintertime.

Opps You are correct that the MT 808 panel is actually pot-metal and glass so it might actually survive if it does not get too pitted.

Is Frank Sharp the owner of this appliance junk yard Chet ?

I looked at his Webb site and don't see anything political about it at all, its way over the top boring with all his safety warnings and lots of wrong information.

Good Question. I'm not sure, I want to say he is not the owner of the haul away yard in question based on the information provided by the OP. However seeing that these images are copyrighted I'm guess that Frank either went to Glendale Arizona to take the pictures or he owns the property.

Regrading politics, remarks are seeded throughout his blog. He mentions a globalist conspiracy being in action and that people ought to give their lives in stopping it whilst under "OTHER INTERESTING LINKS" he linked to websites which were either ferociously anti LGBTQIA++; spread hate, intolerance, discrimination, bigotry; or made the accusation marginalized groups are actively engaged a conspiracy to destroy humanity via moral decline. All the while including a link to this site which I can interpret one of two ways...

To be fair in the past years he has gradual taken down a substantial number of these links and deleted the worst of it.

The site is magnificent in regards to its presentation of machines. It goes into their history, pictures of their innards, part diagrams, service manual excerpts and wiring diagrams to go along with most of the machine. But it was extremely painful seeing the rest attached to something so beautiful in what I thought would be a safe place away from ignorance.

Hi Chet, thanks for the additional information I guess I didn’t read far enough to see the political stuff.

I did see all the technical information about how the machines work I’ll have to read some sometime I found a lot of faults with his general information about safety and so forth, there are just tons of mistakes so I didn’t take the whole thing too seriously.

He’s definitely pushing an agenda.

By all means. I've noticed some of the technical mistakes about safety as well.

The rest is fascinating. I've spent hours on his blog and still do.

A while back I made a thread in dirty laundry about the site and posted some of the links that have now been taken down- if you're interested in studying his agenda further.
