Affinity Dryer problem

I made the mistake to my horror of running a load without the lint filter installed. The very next load I noticed a sort of subdued vibration/rumbling sound and feel it on the cabinet. Could something like a dryer sheet have been sucked into the fan and before I call service is there a blower access diagram available anywhere? The thing is mostly plastic and barely allows 1/2-in. clearance for cleaning from the front.

Yes.I could be a sock,handkerchif,or dryer sheet that went into the blower assembly.

The instructions are very clear. NEVER RUN THE DRYER WITHOUT THE LINT FILTER.
Ok it happened, nobody is dead because of it.
Disassembling the fan is not so difficult and if you have some experience with appliances, and you have a screwdrivers kit, you can save a lot of money with a 30 minutes work.

Unplug the dryer for safety, start disassembling it my it´s back, carefully, until you reach the fan.

Other thing you can try is using a co2 fire extinguisher or a garden blower on it´s vent hole. Maybe the high pressure gas or air bursts is enough to blow socks, tissues or scarfs back to the lint filter compartment.

Getting closer

Thank you both for the encouragement. I've been able to remove the rear duct from blower and by touching and turning the squirrel cage fan cannot feel anything within reach. I'm intrigued by using the reverse leaf blower method or alternatively fashioning a thin suction tube to my home vac and feeding it down the front throat to see if I "catch" anything. It could also be my imagination after all this as it is a flimsy machine. I once leaned on top to connect the exhaust vent and seriously dented the corner like a can of Coke. Will advise.

Good luck! Yes, be careful when leaning on modern appliances. I did the same thing - dented my dryer top leaning my 200 pounds on it. I could square-dance on the cabinet of my 55 Frigidaire Filtrator, but not on today's machines.

Well my "fishing" theory worked pretty well; just hooked up a thin hose to a funnel and that to my Electrolux vac, dropped end into the lint filter throat and in about 5 seconds I caught a shreaded dryer sheet. Machine purrs like its flimsy self again, and that'll be a lesson to me! Thanks again AW group.

Lesson #02
Dryer sheets and Affinity dryers don't match!
It can damage the moisture sensor and eventually (someday, perhaps, maybe, etc..) start a fire.

NEVER use dryer sheets in Affinity (or any other "smart" dryer.)
